If you hold a baccalaureate or advanced degree from an accredited university and would like to become certified to teach in Arizona schools, Ottawa University offers a teacher certification program
for you. This program is designed to meet the requirements set forth by the Arizona Department of Education for public school teaching. The Teacher Certification Program provides the

Continuing Teacher Education

The College of Education at the University of Phoenix offers a variety of individual professional growth courses in areas such as technology, special education, reading, math, middle school,
administration and early childhood. Some of these Continuing Education (CE) courses may lead to endorsement in a specialty area such as bilingual education or reading. These courses are offered in
a concentrated and intensive format consisting of five workshop meetings which are usually offered in a weekend format. A 42-hour Outside Project is required 2 ½ weeks after the last class
meeting. For information on obtaining endorsements, contact your state Department of Education.

The Master of Education (M.Ed.) program provides current K-12 teachers, training and development professionals, and HR staff managers the knowledge and skills to pursue or advance their careers in
education, HR, training, curriculum development, instructional technology, or trade and education association management. The M.Ed. program of study includes courses covering functional areas and
critical knowledge in education as well as courses incorporating business skills and information technology tools. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to apply key concepts and
techniques to educational problems and issues. Within this curriculum, students have the option of choosing a concentration in: o Educational Management o Technology in Education
